If you’re looking for a mix of beautiful beaches, oceanfront restaurants and bars, and a taste of St. Lucia nightlife, Rodney Bay is a great place to stay in St. Lucia for a few days. It’s also a great base for exploring some of the top St. Lucia attractions in the north.
Located in the north of the island, Rodney Bay is conveniently located near some of the best things to do in St. Lucia. Rodney Bay gives you easy access to Reduit Beach, Pigeon Island, Gros Islet, the Rodney Bay Marinara, and some of the best St. Lucia nightlife.
Are you looking to build the ultimate 3-day north St. Lucia itinerary? If so, you’ve come to the right spot! Here’s how I would spend three days in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.

Day 1
Afternoon: Settle Into Your St. Lucia Resort
Depending on the time of your flight, you generally won’t arrive at your Rodney Bay resort until 2-5 p.m. When I arrive at the resort, I’m usually starving and ready for a nap. After checking into your resort, I recommend spending some time settling in.
I like to ease into my St. Lucia vacation by unpacking and checking out the resort amenities. Grab lunch at one of the hotel restaurants. Familiarize yourself with the resort’s layout. Find out where the pools and bar(s) are located.
If you arrive early enough, you might also consider heading to Reduit Beach (and if not, that’s okay! I’ll add this to your list of things to do in Rodney Bay on day #2)!

Evening: Go to Rodney Bay Marina for Waterfront Dining & Shopping
When the sun begins to set, head to the Rodney Bay Marina! Grab dinner overlooking the water and enjoy a relaxed first evening on the island. This relaxed stop is a great way to kick off your Rodney Bay itinerary. Some of the top Rodney Bay restaurants on the marina include:
- Jacques Waterfront Dining — This restaurant offers waterfront seating with romantic sunset views. The cuisine is French-Caribbean. It’s one of the most popular St. Lucia restaurants.
- Seasalt Cafe — With its waterfront seating and relaxed vibe, this restaurant offers both contemporary and seafood dishes. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a casual spot to grab cocktails and dinner.
- Market Street Sushi — With its location at the Harbor Club, this made-to-order St. Lucia sushi restaurant is perfect for sushi lovers!
- 14 North — This Rodney Bay restaurant offers an amazing fine dining experience. Located at the Harbor Club, this upscale restaurant is perfect if you’re celebrating a special occasion.
- Buzz Restaurant — This casual St. Lucia restaurant is known for its seafood and Caribbean flavors.
After you’ve enjoyed some waterfront dining, you can explore the local shops and boutiques, where you’ll find clothing, accessories, gifts, and more! If you love finding great local finds, this is one of the best things to do in St. Lucia!

Night: Head Back to Your St. Lucia Resort for Live Entertainment or Swimming
Since your arrival day can be tiring, I highly recommend heading back to your resort for an early night. If your hotel has a pool that’s open after dark, you could head to it.
Personally, I recommend booking a St. Lucia resort that offers accommodations with a private plunge pool, such as:
- Windjammer Landings Resort & Residences (book now)
- Sandals Grande St. Lucian (book now)
- The Landings Resort & Spa (book now)
Having a private plunge pool in your suite will give you a nice way to relax without having to leave your Rodney Bay resort.
Check out what live entertainment they’re offering at the St. Lucia resort you’re staying at. Many of the resorts offer live music or other types of entertainment. During my stay at Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences, there was an amazing fire show!

Day 2
Morning: Grab Breakfast at Your Resort
Since the second day of your north St. Lucia itinerary is going to be packed with fun activities, there’s no reason to be overly ambitious this morning. Grab a leisurely breakfast at your resort.
If you get up early enough, you might consider taking a dip in the resort pool! Start the day slow to ease into the adventures the second day has in store for you.

Afternoon: Head to Reduit Beach for Some Fun in the Sun
A St. Lucia vacation wouldn’t be complete without spending time at Reduit Beach, one of the most popular beaches in St. Lucia. The long stretch of sand has calm, swimmable waters, making it perfect for just about any traveler. You can go for a swim, try a watersport, or rent a chair and read a good book. Whether you’re an adventure seeker or someone who just wants to relax during your trip to St. Lucia, this beach has something to offer everyone.
Spending the day at Reduit Beach is one of the top north St. Lucia attractions. And if you asked me how to spend 3 days in Rodney Bay, I would try to squeeze Reduit in as much as possible!

Evening: Take a St. Lucia Catamaran Sunset Cruise
A St. Lucia sunset cruise is one of my absolute favorite things to do in St. Lucia! Most cruises leave roughly an hour or two before sunset, giving you plenty of time to cruise along the coast before watching the sun set over the Caribbean.
A catamaran sunset cruise is something I add to my St. Lucia itinerary every time I’m staying in Rodney Bay. There’s just something so magical about the way the sky turns pink, gold, and orange as the sun descends against the Caribbean Sea. You’ll get to enjoy music, dancing, and plenty of rum punch! It’s also one of the most romantic things to do in St. Lucia.

Night: Experience St. Lucia Nightlife
There are several ways to experience nightlife or live entertainment during your St. Lucia vacation.
If your second day in Rodney Bay happens to fall on a Friday, I highly recommend checking out the Gros Islet Street Party (otherwise known as the Friday Night Jump-Up). It happens only on Friday nights, but it’s definitely worth adding to your St. Lucia itinerary. You’ll find street performers, authentic Caribbean food, alcohol, music, and dancing.
If your second day doesn’t fall on a Friday, that’s okay! Rodney Bay Marina has some great bars where you can get a taste of St. Lucia nightlife. I suggest heading back to Rodney Bay Marina for dinner and drinks at one of the many bars.

Day 3
Morning: Explore Pigeon Island
Pigeon Island National Park is one of the top things to do in St. Lucia — and a must for your Rodney Bay itinerary!
I recommend arriving at Pigeon Island National Park around 9:30 a.m. Start your day off early before it gets too crowded and before the temperatures go up. Hike to Fort Rodney and then continue to Signal Peak. The extra viewpoint is worth it! You can explore the historic ruins and museum.

Afternoon: Eat Lunch and Go Snorkeling or Swimming at Pigeon Island
In the afternoon, I suggest having lunch at Jambe de Bois, a Caribbean waterfront restaurant right inside Pigeon Forge National Park!
After you enjoy a bite to eat, I would add swimming or snorkeling at Pigeon Island to your north St. Lucia itinerary! If you decide to snorkel, consider taking a guided tour to increase your odds of seeing the best coral reefs and marine life! Book your guided tour here!
You can choose to spend the entire afternoon having fun in the sun at Pigeon Island, or you might want to head back to your Rodney Bay resort for more pool time or another trip to Reduit Beach! It’s all up to how you want to spend your time.

Evening: Enjoy a Sunset Dinner
A sunset dinner is the perfect way to end your 3-day trip to Rodney Bay! Although many St. Lucia resorts offer beachfront sunset dinner options, one of my favorite places to enjoy a beachfront sunset dinner is Spinnakers Beach Bar and Carvery. Right on Reduit Beach, it’s always on my Rodney Bay itinerary when I visit St. Lucia!
Some other great sunset dining options include the Cliff at Cap and Breadfruit Treehouse!
If your third night happens to fall during the Gros Islet Street Party, I would also add that to your to-do list.
