From the moment you arrive at Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences, there’s a sense that you’ve discovered something truly special. Set across a lush 65-acre hillside overlooking the calm, blue waters of Labrelotte Bay, it’s easily one of the best places to stay in St. Lucia. I can tell you from firsthand experience that the beauty and magic of this St. Lucia resort will make you want to return again and again.
I’ve stayed here three separate times as a solo traveler, with each visit in a different villa, and can confidently say it’s one of the most memorable luxury resorts in St. Lucia. The architecture is unlike anything else on the island and will leave you feeling like you’ve stepped foot onto a Greek island.
From afar, Windjammer Landing resembles a picturesque Mediterranean Village perched above the Caribbean. Rows of white villas with terracotta rooftops cascade down the hillside, each one offering stunning bay views. It’s this distinct design that sets Windjammer apart from other St. Lucia all-inclusive resorts.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a solo escape, or a family trip, Windjammer Landing is one of the best places to stay in St. Lucia. From its sun-drenched terraces to its private pools, here’s why a trip to Windjammer is one you’ll never forget!

Rolling Into Paradise: Your Arrival at Windjammer Landing
Getting to Windjammer Landing is just the beginning of your St. Lucia adventure! Before you fly into Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), be sure to arrange an airport transfer through the resort, or you can book one yourself. Each guest receives their own private van for the 1.5 to 2-hour drive from the south of the island to the Rodney Bay area. You’ll be riding in style and will start to feel the stress begin to melt away as you take in the local history or hear about the best local spots from your driver!
Cars aren’t the only way to get to the resort from UVF. Avoid the winding roads on your way to the resort and take in the sights of St. Lucia from the water with an airport ferry! You’ll get the opportunity to see the famous Pitons, sip rum punch, and start your vacation off with an experience you’ll never forget.
No matter what way you choose to get to this St. Lucia resort, from the moment you step onto the grounds, Windjammer Landing will immediately feel like home. A friendly face is always waiting to open your van door, greet you in the open-air lobby, remove your luggage, and welcome you to St. Lucia.

My favorite thing about arriving at Windjammer? The complimentary beverage! You are immediately offered a welcome drink so you can sit back and relax in the lobby as the staff checks you in. Take in the sights and sounds around you because this is truly paradise!
After checking in at the lobby, guests are transported up the hillside by the resort shuttle, which runs throughout the day and evening. The short ride becomes a part of the experience itself. Guests get a gorgeous view of the bay and a glimpse at Windjammer’s stunning layout — and why it’s one of the top luxury resorts in St. Lucia. You’ll be amazed at how skilled the shuttle drivers are at maneuvering the hairpin turns!
During my three visits to Windjammer Landing, the one thing that always stood out to me from the moment I arrived was the staff. From drivers and beach staff to restaurant workers, everyone has always been so warm and accommodating. It added an unforgettable experience to my St. Lucia vacations at Windjammer and is one of the main reasons I keep returning!
Windjammer Landing truly is one of the best places to stay in St. Lucia.

St. Lucia Accommodations: Private Villas & Beachfront Residencies at Windjammer Landing
What really sets Windjammer apart from other St. Lucia resorts is its villa-style accommodations. The resort offers two primary types of accommodation styles, and each offers a different experience depending on what guests are looking for during their stay.
- Beachfront residences — The Ocean Point Residences offer a sleek, modern design, open living spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, and expansive views of Labrelotte Bay. This St. Lucia beachfront resort accommodation style is perfect for couples, families, or anyone seeking a seaside escape.
- Hillside villas — Perched on the hillside, these private villas offer a blend of luxury, privacy, and breathtaking Caribbean views. Each villa offers large French doors or sliding doors that open onto a terrace. Many of these St. Lucia villas also offer private plunge pools or hot tubs.

During my visits to Windjammer Landing, I stayed in several different hillside villas, including two-bedroom villas with a private plunge pool and another with a hot tub overlooking the bay. Each hillside villa has private terraces, private entrances, and full workable kitchens. I highly recommend the hillside villas if you want epic sunset views and ultimate privacy that will make you feel so at home.
Whether you book a beachfront residency or a hillside villa, you can’t go wrong! Windjammer Landing is one of the best places to stay in St. Lucia and offers some of the island’s most beautiful accommodations.

Getting Around This Caribbean Resort
Getting around Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences is effortless thanks to the on-demand 24/7 shuttle van system. Guests can call from the villa, and a driver will typically arrive within minutes and bring them down to the lobby — or anywhere else in the resort — from their villa. Although walking paths do exist on the grounds of this St. Lucia resort, the steep terrain means most guests rely on the shuttle system throughout their stay. Looking to get back to your room? There’s a designated shuttle pick-up stop in front of the lobby where they will pick guests up and take them back to their accommodations. These run approximately every 15 minutes. I used the shuttle often when heading back to my villa from the pool or lobby to save my knees!

Dining at Windjammer: Culinary Experiences at This St. Lucia Resort
The dining experience at Windjammer Landing goes far beyond the typical all-inclusive St. Lucia resort setup! Although the resort does offer all-inclusive packages, guests aren’t required to choose them. This option is perfect for guests who prefer a more flexible, curated dining experience than the buffet-style model found at many St. Lucia resorts.
Windjammer features multiple restaurants and bars, each with its own distinct vibe and cuisine. Whether you want to enjoy a sunset dinner overlooking the bay, a casual poolside lunch, or a beachfront meal, every meal is thoughtfully curated.
The resort’s dining and bar options include:
- Dragonfly — Offering stunning views, this St. Lucia restaurant offers a buffet-style breakfast and an impressive dinner menu. The Dragonfly is known for its fresh seafood and sushi.
- Papa Don’s — This hillside restaurant offers Mediterranean-inspired fare. You’ll find pizza, pasta, risotto, and so much more on the menu.
- Upper Deck — This popular seafood and steakhouse restaurant, which offers panoramic sea views, is a must-visit. It’s known for offering some of the best sunset dining views in St. Lucia.
- The Perch — This rooftop lounge, which is located just above Dragonfly, is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails and tapas. Guests often gather here for sunset cocktails.
- Masala — This high-end Indian restaurant is a dining experience you might not even expect to have in the Caribbean! Its bold flavors and beautifully curated dishes add a mix to Windjammer’s restaurant lineup.

- Jammers — This casual beachfront St. Lucia restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Offering stunning views of the area, Jammers offers both international and Caribbean cuisine. (Personal note: I highly recommend having lunch at Jammers! It’s the social heart of the resort and one of the best places to meet fellow travelers or chat with the staff).
- Embers — This casual beachside restaurant serves lunch at Windjammer Landing. You’ll find items like tacos, flatbread pizzas, and sliders on the menu. It’s perfect for grabbing an afternoon bite!
- 96 Degrees in the Shade Club — This tiki hut bar serves food and drinks as you relax on the beach loungers. Grab a refreshing drink or bite to eat while enjoying the views!

Other St. Lucia Dining Experiences Offered by Windjammer Landing
Windjammer Landing also offers room service! During my St. Lucia vacations, room service was often my go-to. This allowed me to ease into my day, wake up to a fully prepared breakfast, and enjoy the views from my terrace. I also loved ordering room service for dinner, where I could take in the sunset over Laborelotte Bay in the comforts of my private villa!
Here’s a fun tip: Have breakfast delivered to your villa, take a shuttle to the garden, and enjoy your meal where the hummingbirds love to congregate!

You might also consider private in-villa dining if you’re looking for a more exclusive experience. Windjammer has the option for a skilled chef who will prepare a gourmet feast for you in the comfort of your villa or suite! This gourmet option takes the guesswork out of cooking while allowing you to stay in your villa or suite.
If you’re looking for a romantic meal for your couple’s getaway or St. Lucia honeymoon, consider booking a romantic candlelit dinner on the beach. You can choose from Upper Deck’s menu while taking in the views of the bay at sunset — and your sweetheart! The food is absolutely delicious!
With so many dining options, Windjammer Landing is one of the best places to stay in St. Lucia for foodies or anyone who wants an array of culinary experiences at their resort.

Activities, Pools & Resort Life at Windjammer Landing
Windjammer Landing is one of the best St. Lucia resorts to plan a vacation at, because there’s so much to do here without ever leaving the property. Guests can easily spend several days enjoying the beach, relaxing by the pools, or trying out different activities throughout the day.
The Pools
Part of what makes Windjammer one of the top luxury resorts in St. Lucia is its pools, which are plentiful! There are at least five main swimming pools on the property. The main pool is a base for fun water activities, such as daily aquacise, water polo, and pool volleyball! There’s even a basketball hoop to shoot some hoops in the pool. While this is the most active pool in the resort, many of the pools offer a sense of seclusion, ideal for guests who want an afternoon of quiet relaxation.
There is also a secluded hot tub tucked away in the hillside near Papa Don’s Restaurant. This is all in addition to the private plunge pools and hot tubs that many of the resort’s villas have to offer!

Beach & Water Activities
For travelers who want to lounge on the golden sand and turquoise waters, Windjammer Landing is a standout St. Lucia beachfront resort. It offers easy access to calm, dimmable waters. You can walk along the beach or float in one of the resort’s many floating water hammocks.
If you’re looking to enjoy water sports, there are plenty of opportunities! At the resort, you can experience St. Lucia snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, peddleboating, and windsurfing.
For travelers seeking adventure, look no further. This St. Lucia resort offers water skiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding at an additional cost. If you are on the premium all-inclusive plan, however, these activities are complimentary!

Island Excursions
A trip to St. Lucia is incomplete without excursions and adventure! Windjammer Landing guests can visit the on-site excursion desk, Jammers, to arrange guided island tours, snorkeling trips, and other off-property St. Lucia adventures. During my multiple stays at the resort, I took advantage of several of these excursions, such as the Jammer’s Sunset Cruise, a 4-hour-long ziplining excursion called the Ultimate Three tour, and horseback riding on the beach. I also booked a tour called Chocolate Decadence, which featured a catamaran ride to Soufrière, a hands-on chocolate-making experience, a visit to Sulfur Springs Mud Baths, snorkeling by Sugar Bay, and then the Piton sunset cruise back to north St. Lucia. I never would have known about this incredible guided tour otherwise — especially as a first-time visitor. The excursion desk at Windjammer made it easy to explore St. Lucia and make incredible memories!

Evening Entertainment
Evenings at Windjammer Landing have a different type of energy. The resort hosts a variety of entertainment, ranging from live music to cultural performances. You’ll have to check the events calendar to get a full rundown, but they typically have karaoke, a steel drum band, and a Reggae band!
During one of my stays at this St. Lucia resort, I got to enjoy a fire-throwing and fire-breathing show on the beach where performers created a dramatic display against the backdrop of the bay after sunset. It was so unforgettable!
Because Windjammer Landing offers such a variety of activities, it’s easy to see why many guests find themselves staying on property and never wanting to leave! With so much to do, Windjammer is easily one of the best places to stay in St. Lucia!

Insider Tip
If you want to catch an incredible sunset during your St. Lucia vacation, then Windjammer Landing is the right spot! One of the most underrated things to do at the resort is to take the shuttle all the way to the highest point of the resort just before sunset. This vantage point offers one of the most incredible panoramic views of the island.

While Windjammer Landing offers plenty of activities and room for adventure, it also offers plenty of tranquil opportunities for people who are looking for a quiet, peaceful escape during their trip to St. Lucia.

The spa offers Japanese soaking tubs, which allow guests to relax in warm water with views of the lush tropical greenery. It makes for a perfect, peaceful escape!
Even outside of the Serene Spa, Windjammer Landing provides guests with the opportunity to experience a quiet, peaceful escape during their St. Lucia vacation. The hillside villas offer sweeping bay views and provide outdoor spaces where guests can fully relax and enjoy the Caribbean breeze without ever leaving their terrace!
